Saskatoon, Saskatchewan is not the largest city in Canada, in fact it’s not even in the top 10! With a population of 273,000 toon town ranks at number 19. Though it may be far down the list for Canadian population sizes, Saskatoon is actually the largest city in Saskatchewan and continues to grow every year.
Known as the Paris of the Prairies, Saskatoon is recognized for their beautiful bridges, parks, and many festivals. Home of Joni Mitchell, Gordie Howe, Shannon Tweed Simmons, and John Diefenbaker (to name a few) big things do come in small packages!
Speaking of the great things Saskatoon has to offer, we wanted to take this opportunity to introduce you to our ‘toon town team!
Branch Manager:
Tim – Tim has been our Saskatoon Branch Manager for approximately two years. Tim enjoys fishing, camping, quadding, fishing, spending time with his grandkids, and fishing! When not at work, Tim spends his time building decks, sheds, and outdoor furniture. He says the best part about working with Poulin’s is the satisfaction he gets from helping people with pest problems that they can’t handle themselves.
Tim is happily married (he knows this because his wife tells him so!) with four children, two grandchildren, two dogs, and two horses!
Office Administrators:
Cathy – With 8 years of dedication to Poulin’s, Cathy enjoys helping people solve their pest issues. When not at work she spends her time with her family and friends including her daughter and two grand-bunnies!
Jon – Our newest employee at the Saskatoon branch! Jon has been with Poulin’s for just under a year and has found that working with us has awoken an interest in entomology and revitalized his interest in biological science! Jon says the best part of working at Poulin’s is helping people overcome their anxiety and stress when dealing with infestations. Seeing a customer leave with confidence, when they entered in tears, makes his day!
Pest Management Professionals:
Steve – Steve is close to hitting 30 years with Poulin’s! When not working he enjoys traveling, riding his motorcycle, and spending time with family and friends. Fun fact: Steve is an avid history buff!
Jeff – Jeff has worked with Poulin’s for over 13 years, when he’s not at work you can find him at the lake fishing. He has a 15-year-old border collie / blue healer named Abby. Jeff says that the best part of working in pest control is building strong relationships with customers and that every day is an opportunity to learn something new.
Ricky – Ricky has been working with Poulin’s for seven years. Outside of work, he can be found spending time with family, friends, and many pets, which includes: 5 kids, 3 dogs, and 2 birds! He also enjoys working on his side projects: his Isuzu and small motor projects. Ricky enjoys working with new and old customers in resolving their pest issues, and the fact that every day is a different working experience!
Darrin – Darrin has worked with Poulin’s for 8 years. He enjoys making pickles and jams and cooking for family & friends… and of course the Saskatchewan Roughriders (Darrin is a season ticket holder)! In his spare time he goes hunting, tinkers with his 1976 Dodge Dart big block 383, and hangs out with his family and pets: Keewee, a 17-year-old Pekingese, Leah, a 7-year-old Pitbull, and Rebel, a 1-year old Siamese cat.
