Disposing Of Your Unused Pesticides

Disposing Of Your Unused Pesticides

Written by on

Unsure of what to do with that half empty bottle of pesticide? Here is what you need to know.

Pesticides must be disposed of properly in order to help protect our environment and prevent accidents. Read the product label for specific disposal instructions. Pesticides leftover in the container need to disposed of at a safe drop location that takes in household hazardous waste.

Never reuse an empty pesticide container for any purpose! Do not pour unused pesticides down the drain as it could cause harm to the environment or non-target animals. Consider asking a neighbour, friend, or family member if they would like to use the remainder of your pesticides.

If you have any questions or are unsure of what you need to do give our office a call. Our staff will be happy to help you out.

If you are located in or around Winnipeg, Brandon, Saskatoon, Regina, Calgary, Edmonton, or Lethbridge, please visit one of the safe drop-off locations below to dispose of your unused pesticides.
